Ryan O'Reilly is a great prototypical 2nd line Center on a losing team
so, unless you plan on being a loser, you're better off looking elsewhere for a 2C
He'd be a legit 3C on a winner, but he makes too much money, so losing teams will overpay him and be disappointed in the results of having him play up in the lineup |

I love your use of quotes around things he didn't say. |

Garth is now backing away from his “three premium pieces” post. The fact is ROR is a good NHLer on a BAD contract was always going to limit his return.
No #3 overall
No Logan Cotoure plus
Not sure what the market is for a guy making first line money getting mediocre returns. |

GARTH'S CORNER: Dull ROR - garth
Why would anyone want to trade for him before July 1? Let the Sabres pay the ridiculous bonus |

I’m giving Botterill an A+ grade for his performance at his second NHl Draft as GM of the Buffalo’s Sabres.
Botterill addressed organizational needs at defense by getting the best defenseman in the world in a Dahlin.
-Garf
That's the only grade you ever give your Gm's.
And maybe pump the brakes on calling a kid that literally just got drafted the best in the world. |

BShakey what team do you follow??? ROR is a second line center on any team ...Funny how Canada always wants him on their team...Guess Canada doesn't have many good players if a 3rd line Center is playing on their team

Gartth, not every new sentence is a paragraph hey?
Also what are you talking about, you love to say “I told you so.” You do realize that it doesn’t mean you’re right when you say one thing and say the exact opposite in two different articles then call yourself “right”. poop just don’t work like that bud. |

He’s actually easily one of the best centres in the league. You not knowing that is fairly hilarious and stupid on your behalf. Only team he wouldn’t be a centre on one of the top two lines would be Pittsburgh. |

He's a second line Center on losing teams
Winning Teams have guys like Backstrom and Malkin as their 2C

Hey Look at it this way. If ROR stays what he is for the next 5 years his salary will be a steal as the league catches up to him. You can't hate a guy just because someone signed him for a lot of money. Blame the GM not the player. |
